On the 10th June last we wrote to you with reference to certain Official correspondence produced by the representative of the Colonial Office in the action of Arthur Chamberlain vs Star Newspaper Company. The question have today been settled. Amongst the original papers handed into the court, a number of documents were found amongst which were the papers in question. We are therefore immediately writing to you to ask you to send them back.
We desire to take this opportunity of expressing to you our regret that these papers were not returned to your Department earlier. We cannot understand how they were overlooked.
